The Epistle of Paul The Book of Romans series: Learning to be rooted and established in The Cross of Christ

The seed of David and the Son of God

Romans 1:3-4

3. Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

4. And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

It was prophesied in the Holy Scriptures that Jesus was prophesied by the prophets that we read in the Old Testament that a soon coming Messiah would come from the seed of David according to the flesh, his and his humanity and he was also the son of God regarding his deity Jesus is the core message of the Old Testament.

In verse 3, when it says “which was made” this signifies the entrance Into a new covenant, God be coming man.

I must confess for a long time I did not quite understand this verse as clearly as I do now, especially when it pertains to the incarnation, God be coming man!

If we look closely at scripture, we will understand what this truly means.

Jesus is God manifested in the flesh, (1 Timothy 3:16; 4:6)

He is the fullness of God's Grace (1 Peter 5:10; 1 Corinthians 15:10)

Everything that God is, Jesus is, as Jesus tells us when you have seen me you have seen the father! (John 14;9-11)

As Jesus told the scribes and Pharisees, "before Abraham was, I Am!” (John 8:58) He was and always will be God manifested in the flesh!

Jesus was even before the foundation of the world (John 1:1-5) and there are many scriptures that speaks of Jesus and the foundation He would lay, and the foundation that I speak of is Jesus and Him Crucified.

In the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve sinned against God and was corrupted by the sin nature, Jesus kept the commandments of the Father perfectly, He is the perfect picture of God the father and the Righteousness in which we receive God's Grace through faith to all who believes in Him!

We to as Believers must remember to take up our Cross daily (Luke 9:23) and follow after Jesus and if we cannot commit to doing this, we are not worthy to be a follower of him nor can we be called a disciple of Christ.

We must crucify the flesh daily because there is no good thing in our flesh, also, we must remember Jesus paid for everything we need and the Holy Spirit is our helper all we have to do is just ask.
