Uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts
Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
When Paul says; "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts" the church at Rome chose to serve other gods other than the one true living God as we have seeing in the previous two verses.
Not only did they serve other gods and tried to turn the incorruptible God into a corruptible god, those of creepy crawly things, birds of the air, fish of the sea, and things out of their own imagination.
"To dishonour their own bodies between themselves" they defile themselves which God had intended for one woman and one man to become one flesh, instead they took the Righteous things of God and they defiled their own bodies between themselves because of the lust in their heart.
Freewill is one of the many things God has given mankind therefore, because God has given man the free will to choose, It is His will that man will choose His way and follow after Him who is the True Light, but because of sin, the blindness of his heart, he continues in sin because there is no Light in him.
Sin began when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and it's because of the fall in the garden of Eden mankind is born into sin and at birth and is separated from God.
If a person walks in their flesh, they cannot see the Kingdom of Heaven nor they cannot know the righteous things of God.
The flesh will always blind a person from the Truth and lead them to believe that they are doing right, but in fact they are walking further away from the Holy Righteous things of God that comes through the way of the Cross.
The only way for mankind to be redeemed from the sin that he is born into is the Cross and the shed Blood that Jesus shed for all sin.
Mankind devices things and other methods in his heart to appease the flesh and his own desires, in doing so, he continues to be more blind, lost, and without complete understanding of the one true God.
The only way that a person can truly understand "True Righteousness" is through Jesus and Him Crucified, crucifying the things of the flesh, and taking up their cross daily, and looking to Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith.
As believers we must walk by faith, it is by faith we live, and it is by faith we put our complete trust in God to lead us guide us into all Righteousness because of what Jesus has paid for at the Cross of Calvary.
When the believer does this, they do not walk by their own devices nor the lust of their own heart but by the Righteousness of God through Jesus our Lord and Savior, then and only then can our hearts be pure before God because of the cleansing Blood of Jesus that covers us.
Glory Hallelujah for the Blood of the Lamb, that takes away the sins of the world, Bless it be the Name of the Lord whose Blood can cover a multitude of sins.
