The Epistle of Paul The Book of Romans series: Learning to be rooted and established in The Cross of Christ

That I may impart unto you some Spiritual Gift

Romans 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

This does not mean as some may think, that Paul could impart one or more of the nine Gifts of the Spirit, but rather speak of explaining to them more perfectly the Word of God and that alone.

John 8:32 says: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The word "truth" is not just what God's Word is, it is also "Who" God's Word is and we can see in scripture that it all points to Jesus Christ...

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

One of the many Gifts of the Spirit is Love (1 Corinthians 12:4-12) but we must remember without love we have nothing and can do nothing; within the very Love that laid His life down at Calvary. (John 3:16)

To truly know the Word of God we must know and understand the Cross as it pertains to justification and sanctification.

Any Christian who thinks that he/she has outgrown the Cross has and will invite disaster to themselves we must never walk away from the Cross and remember to take it up daily (Matthew 16:24).

Faith in the Cross claims the supremacy of the Saviour and the helplessness of the Believer as well to remind us that we can never fight against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high on our own.

Faith in the Cross tells us how good God is and how much He truly loves us as well to also let us see how evil man is.
